This kit turned out a super cool result, but the prep-work makes it something I wouldn't do again!
This was a project in which I bit off a lot more than I could chew. In my excitement about how cool the die looked, I didn't consider the fact that each piece of carboard took about 20 minutes to trace, cut out, and score. By the time I had all of my kits complete I was OVER IT and I'd recommend this more as a fun thing to do once for your D&D club to use regularly than as a kit or program.
I used this post to create my template and then replicated it over and over again with left over cardboard boxes. This cardboard piece was an awkward size and shape for packaging into the kit and ended up having to just sit outside the bag with the rest of the supplies. The masking tape was also fairly time-consuming to package and I ended up rolling the necessary amount over toilet paper tubes cut to size.
